"Los Lobos are in as fine form here as they were in 1984 on their first full-length album...though Los Lobos played at the White House recently, their devotees remain mystified at their lack of wider notice. Perhaps a key to their longevity is that a little distance from the mainstream cushions them from compromise. Play on".

Los Lobos ("The Wolves") are a multiple Grammy Award–winning American Chicano rock band from East Los Angeles, California. Their music is influenced by rock and roll, Tex-Mex, country, folk, R&B, blues, brown-eyed soul, and traditional Spanish and Mexican music such as cumbia, boleros and norteños.
