'Scratch My Back' - Peter Gabriel
Ex-Genesis frontman Peter Gabriel decided to cover the work of his favourite artists and, in exchange, they would do the same for him.
Scratch My Back is the first instalment of this project, and sees the 60-year-old cover the likes of Radiohead, Talking Heads and David Bowie in an orchestral setting, with nary a guitar nor a drumkit in sight.
The artists whose songs are covered will be returning the favour by performing Gabriel's songs on a forthcoming album, I'll Scratch Yours.
Track List:
1. Heroes (David Bowie)
2. The Boy In The Bubble (Paul Simon)
3. Mirror Ball (Elbow)
4. Flume (Bon Iver)
5. Listening Wind (David Byrne/Talking Heads)
6. The Power Of The Heart (Lou Reed)
7. My Body Is A Cage (Arcade Fire)
