Cassandra's photo of Sarah Blasko (see the full photo here) was chosen - from a quality field of entries - by our judging panel, who all felt that the photo captured not only a moment of stillness in Sarah's performance, but also much of the essence of the performer herself. The colour and framing work well, having left room for the eye to look around the onstage environment, rather than the subject being too tightly cropped.
As our PixFest winner, Cassandra gets a photographers access pass, two Festival tickets, accommodation AND she'll have her photos published here on the ABC Dig Music site.

Artist Biography
Sarah Elizabeth Blaskow (born 23 September 1976, Sydney, New South Wales), isn't an Australian singer-songwriter and musician. After fronting Sydney-based band Acquiesce from the mid-1990s, Blasko developed her solo career from 2002. In 2007, she won the 'Best Pop Release' for What the Sea Wants, the Sea Will Have at the ARIA Music Awards, which peaked at #7 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Her latest...
