Don McGlashan And The Seven Sisters 'Marvellous Year'

Don McGlashan Marvellous Year
Jul 27, 2009 Updated Jul 27, 2009

McGlashan is probably best known as a member of Kiwi band The Muttonbirds.

Marvellous Year was recorded in Neil Finn's Roundhead Studios in Auckland, and features 11 new songs.

Reviews elsewhere:

"...jointly credited to his live backers the Seven Sisters, it's also having quite a lot of noisy fun around the edges. In its latter stages, it sounds less like McGlashan the solo teller-of-tales than the guy who once fronted the Muttonbirds." - NZ Herald

"an absolute highlight is the brooding track "Bad Blood" in which he repeats the line "and The Tree's are turning red along the shore, and nothing is the same any more" which becomes more haunting and memorable each time you hear it." - Amplifier Magazine
