Named after the psychedelic folk outfit Robert Plant was a member of prior to joining Led Zeppelin.

There's not a lot of psychedelic folk on this album but plenty of rootsy rock.

Band of Joy picked up two nominations at the 2011 Grammy Awards - Best Americana Album and Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance (for the track Silver Rider).

Robert Anthony Plant, CBE (born 20 August 1948) is an English singer and songwriter best known as the vocalist and lyricist of the iconic rock band Led Zeppelin. He has also had a successful solo career.
